Reset Moto Reminders app icon

Reset the service reminder on your Triumph Tiger 900

The app connects your phone to the motorcycle through a vLinker MC+ adapter to reset the service date and distance, read fault codes, and clear them when you choose

No account, subscription, advertising, dealer visit, or ECU tuning

What is it for?

After you service the motorcycle yourself or use an independent workshop, the dashboard can continue showing the service warning. Reset Moto Reminders lets you finish that job without paying a dealer or buying an annual diagnostic-app subscription.

It also reads engine diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), explains known codes in plain language, and can clear stored codes after you have read them. Clearing a code does not repair the fault that caused it.

Supported motorcycles

MotorcycleStatus
Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro, 2021Tested. Dashboard read, DTC read, and service reset have been completed with this app.
Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro, 2022–2023Profile included, not physically tested yet. Read the motorcycle first; unknown or mismatched responses block writes.
Other Tiger 900 models and other Triumph motorcyclesNot supported yet. Similar hardware is not enough to assume compatibility.

DTC clear is marked Beta and still needs a controlled motorcycle test.

What you need

  • An Android phone or iPhone.
  • A vLinker MC+ Bluetooth OBD adapter. Other adapters are not supported yet.

How to use it

  1. Connect the adapter

Plug the vLinker MC+ into the motorcycle diagnostic port. Turn the ignition on and leave the engine off.

  2. Connect the phone

On Android, pair vLinker MC-Android in Bluetooth settings with PIN 1234. On iPhone, connect to vLinker MC-IOS from inside the app.

  3. Read the motorcycle first

Tap Connect, then Read motorcycle. Check that the displayed odometer is plausible before doing anything else.

  4. Choose one job

Read fault codes, clear the displayed codes, or set the next service distance and date. The app asks for confirmation before a change.

  5. Verify on the dashboard

After a reset, check the service date and distance on the motorcycle. After clearing codes, read them again.

Why use this app?

  • Focused: it resets the service reminder and reads or clears DTCs. It does not tune, flash, remap, or code the ECU.
  • No recurring cost: the app has no account, subscription, advertising, analytics, or paid feature unlock.
  • Inspectable: the complete application source and motorcycle profiles are published on GitHub under a noncommercial source-available license.
  • Cautious writes: the app checks the expected adapter and motorcycle response, asks for confirmation, sends a write once, and does not automatically retry an unclear result.

Download and installation

Android uses an APK from the project’s GitHub Releases page. iPhone offers a ready-made IPA for local signing and the public Xcode project for self-build; free installations last seven days.

Optional support

The community project is free for personal, noncommercial use. If it saved you a dealer visit, you can optionally support its development. Donations do not unlock features or support.
